Review of the Perdomo Artesanal Churchill Maduro

Wednesday, August 4, 2010 by Carson Pyles

This Thompson Exclusive cigar was made possible by the palate and vision of Nicaraguan cigars virtuoso, Nick Perdomo. In the books this one is said to be medium bodied, but to me it seemed more like a mild-medium.

This cigar had an excellent finish. It was a good bit of flavor with less of the bitterness. When you find a Maduro wrapper with very little bitterness, you know that you've found a quality cigar. The Perdomo Artesanal is a cigar that produces a surprisingly small amount of smoke while giving the smoker a fairly sweet, earthy taste. This cigar was tightly packed and since it's a churchill, it'll take you a while. But even considering these things, this cigar took longer than I expected. So if you're going to buy this cigar, than make sure you have at least an hour an a half to enjoy it. Don't ever rush a cigar! It would be a crime to shorten the duration of this good cigar, or even worse, let it get too hot.

This particular line of Perdomo Cigars is only available from Thompson. It's available in 20-packs at ThompsonCigar.com.
