Johnny Blaze from Sacramento, CA reviewed the PADRON AMBASSADOR WITH CAP MADURO LONSDALE
Got a few of these free for signing up for the Cigar Club, and at first glimpse, thought it was a knock-off or cheap imitation cigar, due to the plain band. After visiting the Padron website and seeing that they were in fact real Padrons, I smoked the first one. Before I was done with the first one, I already knew I would be smoking the second one right after the first was done. Amazing great taste, smooth burn, lots of flavor, I really cant say enough good things about these little cigars! Spicy flavor with hints of cocoa and coffee, a real treat for my tongue. I don't know that they equal other more expensive Padrons, but I really wish I had ordered more of these instead of the ones I bought when I signed up for the Club! This will definitely be my next purchase!
Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Rating:
Pros: Big flavor, Burn Great, Easy to light, Good taste Cons: None at all
Best Uses: Everyday Smoke, Gifts To Friends
Padrón; one of the most respected names in the business, the yardstick by which other brands are measured, and the reigning king of Nicaraguan cigars! Padrón is a perfectly drawing, medium bodied smoke blended from Cuban-seed Nicaraguan long fillers and finished in your choice of Natural or Maduro wrappers. Padrón has an earthy aroma and pleases your pallet with notes of dark roasted coffee and semi-sweet chocolate. Buy any size box of Padrón and receive a free Padrón “The Hammer” baseball cap (a $25 value)!
Calum from Pgh, PA reviewed the ROUGHNECK TIPS 2-FER NATURAL CHEROOT RUM
Perfect little cigar for Civil War events! Good taste, period appearance, cheap enough to drop if the Confederates suddenly put in an unfriendly appearance.
Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Rating:
Pros: Easy To Light, Good Draw, Great Flavor, Undamaged Wrapper, Well Constructed
Best Uses: Everyday
Describe Yourself: Special Occasion Smoker
No, Roughneck’s no beauty contest winner. In point of fact, it’s coyote ugly. But if every cloud has a silver lining, for Roughneck it’s the taste. It’s a bright, clean, sweet taste that never lets you down. Roughneck is manufactured by hand in the Cheroot size, one that has been around for ages. However, the thing that sets this cigar apart from the rest is the others are machine made. With its Nicaraguan and Honduran short fillers tucked into a Sumatra wrapper, Roughneck is definitely a cut above. The tip is even sweetened slightly to add an extra dimension of taste.
Axe from Butte, MT reviewed the CUSANO 18 TORO CONNECTICUT
Next to the LaGloria Cubana Crystal Natural Lonsdale, this is my favorite cigar. It is a little darker than the LaGloria but not by much. The taste reminds me of dark chocolate. It draws easily and stays lit without having to be constantly tended. Great for the golf course or for a walk with the dogs.
Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Rating:
Pros: Good Draw, Great Flavor, Undamaged Wrapper, Well Constructed
Cons: Difficult To Light
Best Uses: Events, Special Occasions
Describe Yourself: Special Occasion Smoker
No wonder Cusano 18 captures a 91 rating from Cigar Insider. After all, no one else in the industry is willing – or can afford – to age his filler tobaccos for eighteen years! This all-out devotion to eliminating any and all impurities in the fillers makes Cusano 18 a genuine joy to smoke. Producing flavors that are leathery and smoky with a touch of vanilla, this is as fine a smoke as you can get. Match the long fillers with equally fine Connecticut Valley Shade and it just doesn’t get any better.
Randall from Williamsburg, VA reviewed the PADRON 1964 ANIVERSARIO DIPLOMATICO NATURAL CHURCHILL
I bought the natural wrapper on auction and got a good deal on these. I love Padron and thought this would be near the top of the list. My experience is that they are a well constructed cigar except that the wrapper seems thin and a little delicate. The flavor is mild and certainly is a good cigar, but I have to say that it isn't everything I hoped it would be.
Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Rating:
Pros: Easy To Light, Good Draw
Cons: Wrapper Imperfections
Best Uses: Special Occasions
Describe Yourself: Two a week smoker
Less than 5% of Padrón’s torcedores are deemed experienced enough to work on the company’s exclusive Anniversary Series, so less than 5% of the company’s already modest output is devoted to these cigars. With so few in production, the Anniversary Series is carefully allotted, and we have laboriously hoarded all we have been offered until we accumulated enough inventory to feature it in our catalog. Obviously, we cannot be sure when we will be able to repeat this offer. Due to the high demand and low production it’s unlikely these cigars can be found easily anywhere else, so we urge you to get them while you can
As every seasoned aficionado knows, cigars come in many shapes and sizes. There are little cigarillos for those times when you need a quick smoke. Many of these are flavored with rum, vanilla, cherry, or other choice seasonings to add to the experience. Some cigars are at the opposite end of the spectrum with lengths so impressive that they look as if they might need their own walking stick to prop them up. There are medium-sized smokes, thin sticks, and short, fat cigars. However, there are few cigars in the world as fat as the Fat Boy III Natural Gordos from Thompson Cigars.
With a massive 70 ring gauge, the name of these Churchills just about says it all. You won't find any extra space in these big boys either. Each smoke is packed with 5 long filler leaves that guarantee a long-lasting experience. These extra large smokes are also hand rolled with a natural wrapper and use fine, fermented tobacco from the Dominican Republic. The sheer size of these smokes really makes one wonder how long it took to roll them. You can contemplate that while taking even longer to slowly smoke these solid, premium smokes.
Order and enjoy Fat Boy Natural Gordos from Thomson Cigars!
Cigarillos are small, short cigars. Some brands don't pack the punch of complex flavors, nor the slow burn of an excellent, hand-rolled corona but many of the small sticks are fun to smoke nonetheless. Their quick and easy nature and wonderful, aromatic flavors have actually made brands like Backwoods Cigars some of the most popular smokes around. Of course, the great, low price also helps but millions of aficionados vouch for this brand and show it by being faithful Backwoods customers for decades. Backwoods are so popular for the following reasons:
-
A great, everyday smoke: When you just feel like enjoying quality tobacco at any time of the day, these tasty little sticks are heard to beat.
-
Cost: Yes, I already mentioned that one but the low price is such a good point that it merits extra attention.
-
Taste: Backwoods blends natural and flavored tobaccos for an intense, sweet experience that showcases the reasons why fermented tobacco has been so popular for more than a thousand years.
-
It's a good smoke: Of course, this is the best reason of all and is basically why so many people can't seem to get enough of this great brand.

Mike the cigar guy from Ancram, NY reviewed the COSECHERO TORPEDO SUMATRA
Great everyday smoke. Even burn and enjoyable flavor. I was surprised by the quality considering the fact that this is a bargain priced stick. I'm guessing this cigar is rolled by inexperienced rollers since most have a tight draw. This can be easily fixed by using a drawpoker, which I suggest every cigar smoker own for just such an occasion.
Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Rating:
Pros: Great Flavor, Undamaged Wrapper, Well Constructed Cons: Firm Draw
Best Uses: Everyday
Describe Yourself: Aspiring Aficionado
Cosechero is a prime example of what a resourceful manufacturer is able to do when he’s challenged. We told our guy what we wanted, and after rolling his eyes and muttering something that sounded like “Aiee caramba!” he set out to perform the task. The result of his effort is Cosechero, truly a fantastic cigar at a fantastic price, one you’re liable to feel guilty smoking having paid so little.
But don’t let your guilt trip spoil your enjoyment of Cosechero. This cigar combines the Dominican Olor and Piloto Cubano combo fillers with delightfully spicy rich Sumatra binders and wrappers to produce a beautiful and beautifully smoking cigar.
The word "cigarillo" literally translates to "small cigar". Although some aficionados give them the cold shoulder, they are basically just small cigars. Granted, most cigarillo brands put less time and effort into coming up with the perfect blend of wrapper, binder, and filler but that doesn't mean that these short sticks won't provide a quality smoking experience. There are some very good reasons for trying the Thompson Dominican Box Pressed Cigarillo. Just a few of these reasons are:
-
They are quality cigars: It's hard to find a better reason for at least trying out a cigar brand than its tendency to provide a quality smoking experience. This exclusive Thompson Cigars brand does just that by using premium grade tobacco for filler, binder, and wrapper.
-
Hand-rolled just like the big boys: These short smokes were carefully made by hand just like larger cigars and use a natural wrapper that adds to their flavor.
-
Dominican tobacco: Some of the finest tobacco in the world comes out of the Dominican Republic and there's nothing but fermented Dominican leaf in these wonderful little smokes.
-
Cost: If you aren't convinced to try these great smokes yet, how about the fact that you get fifty of them for just $39.95?
Find these great little sticks and all of your tobacco needs at Thompson Cigars today.
The Caribbean is a classic hotspot for cigar tobacco. Many of the finest smokes in the world were created from Cuban seed, Dominican leaf that was expertly cultivated and fermented, and cigar makers from the Caribbean region who passed their secrets down from generation to generation. With that in mind, it should come as no surprise that the sweet aroma and complexities of cured tobacco are just one of the flavors associated with the Caribbean.
One of the other principal flavors that is strongly associated with the Caribbean Islands is the sweet scent of rum. Both rum and cigars seem to go hand in hand as their aromatic flavors play off each other. Sipping top shelf rum while enjoying premium cigars will put anyone into a Caribbean mood and make you wish that you had bought that hand-made hammock on your last trip to the Dominican Republic. For a the perfect mix of these two evocative flavors, try the Thompson Rum Punch Cigarillo.
Flavored with cherry rum, these sweet little smokes promise a delicious smoking experience. The fine, high quality, flavor filled Dominican tobacco also ensures satisfaction with every draw.

Half Fast Mike from Chillicothe, OH reviewed the HAMPTON ARMS CIGARS TORO NATURAL
How can you go wrong buying a smoke from the Team of J.C. Newman and Cuesta Rey? The first thing was the 3 sticks in humipacs! Great idea! The toro fired up easily and the aroma was pleasant with white ash and slow burn. The draw was a little firm ( but I used a punch ). I think the flavor was very good, I'm not sure what the spices are, but nothing over powering. Just a good enjoyable smoke. The price is great! I will be buying more of these guys!
Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Pros: Easy To Light, Good Draw, Good flavor, Great price, Slow burn, Undamaged Wrapper, Well Constructed, White ash

From the makers of Cuesta Rey comes an all-new budget smoke sure to satisfy the medium bodied cigar smoking masses. Packaged in Stay Fresh Humi-Bags, Hampton Arms by J.C. Newman employs a complex blend of Nicaraguan mixed fillers paired with a slightly spicy Nicaraguan binder and a golden-brown Ecuadoran wrapper. Hampton Arms is anything but bland as it delightfully develops in flavor and character throughout the entire smoking experience. Hampton Arms comes in two sizes – Churchill (7" x 48) or Toro (6" x 50) – and is available in fifteen count bundled packs. Enjoy Hampton Arms for less than $2 a stick!

Rating:
Pros: Good Draw, Undamaged Wrapper Cons: Construction Issues
Best Uses: Events, Everyday
Describe Yourself: Special Occasion Smoker
When premium tobacco experienced its own “irrational exuberance” and when smokers showed their preference for more robust tastes, JAD switched on a dime and it was the right zig at the right time. This is an awesome cigar for beginners or for those of you not looking to be accosted by your stogie ( personally I like to get my ass kicked a little, but hey, to each his own). Take advantage of this offer while you still can!

With its use of the same high grade tobacco and same meticulous attention to detail in its manufacture, the cigarillo is definitely not inferior to a full size Corona or Toro. No indeed, because of its smaller size, the cigarillo is an even harder puro to make. In fact, the more enlightened manufacturers often train their women torcedores to work exclusively on cigarillos. They know that in addition to their smaller hands, women usually display greater patience as they work with lesser quantities of tobacco to produce cigarillos that draw as smoothly as the larger sizes.
Such is the case with these Dominican cigarillos. Hand rolled in the Dominican Republic to the most exacting standards, these short smokes use the same high quality tobaccos as are found in premium cigars. Therefore, the smoking pleasure they produce is every bit as pronounced as that found in the larger sizes. So whether you select the Cigarillo Pequeño or the Cigarillo Grande, you’re getting superior flavor in a short smoke. They’re packed 100 smokes to the box.
