J B from KC reviewed the ROUGHNECK TIPS 2-FER NATURAL CHEROOT RUM

loose tabaco on the end when first lit need to watch for droping ashes.there a great smoke when you dont have a lot of time .

Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Rating:

Pros: Easy To Light, Good Draw, Great Flavor, Undamaged Wrapper
Best Uses: Everyday
Describe Yourself: Aspiring Aficionado

No, Roughneck’s no beauty contest winner. In point of fact, it’s coyote ugly. But if every cloud has a silver lining, for Roughneck it’s the taste. It’s a bright, clean, sweet taste that never lets you down. Roughneck is manufactured by hand in the Cheroot size, one that has been around for ages. However, the thing that sets this cigar apart from the rest is the others are machine made. With its Nicaraguan and Honduran short fillers tucked into a Sumatra wrapper, Roughneck is definitely a cut above. The tip is even sweetened slightly to add an extra dimension of taste.

No wonder Cusano 18 captures a 91 rating from Cigar Insider. After all, no one else in the industry is willing – or can afford – to age his filler tobaccos for eighteen years! This all-out devotion to eliminating any and all impurities in the fillers makes Cusano 18 a genuine joy to smoke. Producing flavors that are leathery and smoky with a touch of vanilla, this is as fine a smoke as you can get. Match the long fillers with equally fine Connecticut Valley Shade and it just doesn’t get any better.

Axe from Butte, MT reviewed the CUSANO 18 TORO CONNECTICUT

Next to the LaGloria Cubana Crystal Natural Lonsdale, this is my favorite cigar. It is a little darker than the LaGloria but not by much. The taste reminds me of dark chocolate. It draws easily and stays lit without having to be constantly tended. Great for the golf course or for a walk with the dogs.

Padron fan

Friday, May 11, 2012 by Customer Reviews

Randall from Williamsburg, VA reviewed the PADRON 1964 ANIVERSARIO DIPLOMATICO NATURAL CHURCHILL

I bought the natural wrapper on auction and got a good deal on these. I love Padron and thought this would be near the top of the list. My experience is that they are a well constructed cigar except that the wrapper seems thin and a little delicate. The flavor is mild and certainly is a good cigar, but I have to say that it isn't everything I hoped it would be.

Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Rating:

Pros: Easy To Light, Good Draw
Cons: Wrapper Imperfections
Best Uses: Special Occasions
Describe Yourself: Two a week smoker

Less than 5% of Padrón’s torcedores are deemed experienced enough to work on the company’s exclusive Anniversary Series, so less than 5% of the company’s already modest output is devoted to these cigars. With so few in production, the Anniversary Series is carefully allotted, and we have laboriously hoarded all we have been offered until we accumulated enough inventory to feature it in our catalog. Obviously, we cannot be sure when we will be able to repeat this offer. Due to the high demand and low production it’s unlikely these cigars can be found easily anywhere else, so we urge you to get them while you can

As you know, we love to compare our house product with the nationally distributed brands that sell for $4, $5, $6, and $7 per stick, especially when we can offer our own fine product at a fraction of their price, prices so low you can save $75 to $100 a box. Enter Honduran Finas. The cigars in this box of fifty are designed to supply the dedicated smoker with as good a taste as you can expect at economy prices. Our manufacturer Nestor Plasencia grows, packs, and cures all his own tobacco, exercising the most extraordinary control over the product from the seed to the finished cigar.

Honduran Finas are basically a Cuban-seed cigar embodying all the characteristics you expect from Havana tobacco. The only exception is the Maduro wrapper grown from Cuban seeds in Costa Rica, a country that has only lately become an important Maduro leaf supplier. There, growers benefit from steep hillsides, avoiding the morning sun and allowing the wrapper tobacco to luxuriate in the afternoon sun and absorb the nutrients that give the Costa Rican Maduro a unique and delightful taste that connoisseurs are raving about.

The Natural wrapper is Connecticut seed, sun grown in Honduras without shade. This growing process yields medium shades of Natural wrappers containing the tastes desired by today’s smoker.

Try the Honduran Finas in the 30-count sampler. This is an unprecedented way to explore not only the variety of sizes and shapes of Honduran Finas, but to do so in depth. The 30-count box affords the smoker a number of examples of each cigar, allowing first impressions to become lasting impressions. In the long tradition of Thompson’s providing value for the money, the Thompson Honduran Finas is the latest and most satisfying example.
