Inspired by the classic Art Deco style that is synonymous with the hip, albeit antiquated, architecture in Miami's South Beach and Cuba's Havana, our Art Deco Humidor is more than just a high quality storage place for your favorite cigars… it's also a classy conversation piece! The Art Deco is lined with Spanish cedar, holds up to 60-75 cigars, sports a high gloss piano finish, a divider, and a humidification unit. An exterior hygrometer and inlaid accents adorning the outside, make it slightly reminiscent of New York's Chrysler Building. This piece is perfect for your home, office, or wherever you want to safeguard your smokes and show your impeccable taste… and, naturally, the Art Deco is yours for a significant Thompson size savings!

You can't beat this unit for the price

AegisLTD from Sterling, VA reviewed the ART DECO 60 COUNT HUMIDOR

I bought this for a Christmas gift and now I want one! I've seen similar ones with the same quality (or maybe they had very slightly better quality) but they cost between $500 and $1500.This was a steal for [$] and looks amazing. It has a very solid feel; the high gloss piano finish is really nice and it has a very good seal when the lid closes. If I paid twice the price I still would have been happy with my purchase. The exterior hygrometer has a plastic lens & bezel which would be the only thing I would change. A glass & brass hygrometer seems more fitting for a Humidor of this quality.

Striking Piece

Shu from San Diego, CA reviewed the ART DECO 60 COUNT HUMIDOR

I just got this Humidor in the mail in spite of it being on backorder for weeks. (Not surprising it is sold out) After actually seeing it in person, it is clear why it is backordered, for it is hands down the most beautiful Humidor I have ever seen! It is so rich looking and striking that it compliments the furniture it is sitting on! I fully anticipate getting a ton of compliments from many friends. Even my wife who hates cigars said it was a beautiful Humidor. The wood design is stunning and the exterior gold Hygrometer also adds to the richness of it. Only knock is having to wait for 2 days (standard) to get the wood cured inside and ready for my cigars that can't wait to get out of my old beat up Humidor that is in hiding. Once I get them in I am hoping that is works as good as it looks and when I entertain, I can offer my friends a great cigar out of a classy Humidor! [...]

The pics-though good, don't do this box justice! Like that sappy Jerry McGuire movie, "it completes me" (Not really, but it does accent my 400# Rosewood Desk nicely). Admirable quality and could easily see for twice the price. The interior smell is to die for (again, not really-but it a cleansing earthy cedar). Unsure if hygrometer works but planned on using digital anyways. Perfect gift idea ladies. How to season a new humidor

Wednesday, November 24, 2010 by Trevor Billingsley
If you're getting a new cigar humidor, one thing you'll want to do before you proceed to load it with your cigars is to season it. That will ensure that the humidor is prepared to do its job of keeping your cigars stored at the proper temperature and humidity levels.

Here's one quick and easy way of accomplishing this. Get some distilled water on a cloth or sponge and wipe down the ceder lining, as well as any trays that may be included. Make sure the sponge or cloth isn't too wet -- you're looking to pick up any dust or dirt in the cedar, not give it a bath!

Once that's done, place the sponge or cloth on top of a plastic bag (making sure it is not directly touching the wood). Fill the humidification device as directed (it will ask for either distilled water or a specified humidifying solution). Then close the humidor, leaving the sponge or cloth inside, and let it settle for 24 hours.

The next day, repeat the wipedown process but remove the sponge or cloth, and close the humidor. Again, wait 24 hours. Catch up on your cigar blog entries during that downtime.

The following day, open the humidor and check it out. If the cedar isn't damp and the humidity isn't lower than 72 degrees, your humidor is ready for your cigars. If not, repeat the wipedown process for a third time, and try again the following day.

Romeo Y Julieta Vintage Cigars

Thursday, July 29, 2010 by Carson Pyles

"O Romeo, Romeo, wherefore art thou Romeo..?" I know where he is! Romeo Y Julieta has released a product that is turning heads all over the cigar world. The hopelessly romantic couple is at it again with their Romeo Y Julieta Vintage V Connecticut Double Corona.

This is perhaps one of my favorites from Romeo Y Julieta and I have been smoking this brand for a long time. This extremely rare cigar consists of several major elements that make it quite unique and complex. The filler is a fine Dominican Olor, the binder is the best, prime, Mexican tobacco available and finally, the combination is topped off with the rarest of the rare Connecticut-Connecticut wrappers. Aged for at least three years before released into the market - I could go on all day. All of that is well and good - I get it, what's really spectacular about this cigar, you're wondering. Well - It's just awesome; creamy, smooth, delicate, mild-medium bodied... perfect.

Save the best for last - - Romeo and Juliet go the extra mile with their 2 in 1 humidor box, complete with the well-known Credo Humidification System. This way You can keep these cigars in the original box for an extended period of time, which make them perfect for travel, shipping or simply showing off (no shame!).

Xikar Drymistats

Thursday, July 8, 2010 by Carson Pyles
This nifty little Xikar humidifier is made specifically for those cigar lovers out there who fill their humidors to maximum capacity and no longer have enough room for the rather inconveniently shaped standard humidifier.

You see, for this cylindrical humidifier, all you need is room for a single cigar, because that's more or less the size of this convenient cigar humidification device.

This "Drymistat" humidifier will keep up to 75 or more cigars at the proper humidity. If you want more options I suggest using TCC Humidifier Solution as that will do the trick as well.

Simply throw this cigar-sized humidifier in with the rest of your cigars, and you'll have an optimum humidity for months.
