Why Try Hand Rolled Cigarrilos?

Thursday, April 26, 2012 by Pat The Cigar Guy

THOMPSON DOMINICAN BOX PRESSED CIGARILLO NATURALThe word "cigarillo" literally translates to "small cigar". Although some aficionados give them the cold shoulder, they are basically just small cigars. Granted, most cigarillo brands put less time and effort into coming up with the perfect blend of wrapper, binder, and filler but that doesn't mean that these short sticks won't provide a quality smoking experience. There are some very good reasons for trying the Thompson Dominican Box Pressed Cigarillo. Just a few of these reasons are:

  • They are quality cigars: It's hard to find a better reason for at least trying out a cigar brand than its tendency to provide a quality smoking experience. This exclusive Thompson Cigars brand does just that by using premium grade tobacco for filler, binder, and wrapper.
  • Hand-rolled just like the big boys: These short smokes were carefully made by hand just like larger cigars and use a natural wrapper that adds to their flavor.
  • Dominican tobacco: Some of the finest tobacco in the world comes out of the Dominican Republic and there's nothing but fermented Dominican leaf in these wonderful little smokes.
  • Cost: If you aren't convinced to try these great smokes yet, how about the fact that you get fifty of them for just $39.95?

Find these great little sticks and all of your tobacco needs at Thompson Cigars today.

Just One of Ways to Spend Less for Premium Cigars

PADRON NO. 88 SAMPLER MADURORocky Patel, Padron, Ashton, and the list of 90 plus rated cigars goes on. If great smokes like these brands have any sort of problem, it's with their high prices. If you have the funds to spend on boxes of these smokes, that's really no problem at all. If, however, you live on a fixed income or are say a veteran still searching for a job after your tenure in the armed forces, high prices for great smokes present a significant barrier to experiencing them.

Nevertheless, Thompson Cigars always seems to find a way for aficionados to enjoy top cigar brands without having to break the bank. Checking out the discounts and deals offered at the Thompson website is the first important step to take but the one, easiest way to try top of the line smokes is by simply buying just a few rather than an entire box. Instead of buying a box of beautiful Padron Number 88s, spend just $38 on a 5 pack sampler. Every maduro wrapped smoke in this sampler promises a quality smoking experience and one of them was given a 90 plus rating.

Buy a box of high-rated premium smokes if you can but if the cost is too much for your budget, you can still enjoy the good life in the form of five packs from Thompson Cigars.

Flor de Oliva could easily have been a $10 cigar in a fancy box with a multi-million dollar marketing campaign and still enjoy the same volume of sales as it does packaged as an unassuming bundle of 20. Yes, you heard us right; Flor de Oliva comes packaged in a bundle. But don't call it a "bundle cigar"! Flor de Oliva hails from the generations old Oliva tobacco farms in Nicaragua and is manufactured exclusively from their premier tobacco. This mild-medium bodied puro with a deep, complex flavor, sports a Natural, a golden Connecticut, a rich Maduro, or a rare Corojo wrapper and presents a superb value to any educated smoker. It is rare indeed to find a smoke this incredible at a price so low! Save big on any size of Flor de Oliva!

When you have a humidor the size of ours, occasionally stuff gets misplaced (hey, we drive golf carts through our humidor…give us a break). Such was the case with Don Elias, cigars from the bygone boom era that inadvertently ended up hidden behind boxes of more recent product. Seeing these again was kinda’ like seeing an old friend for the first time in years. Made from choice Dominican long fillers, these smokes were considered “A List” in their day, fetching well over $100 per box. Now, with only six sizes and a few boxes left, we’re ready to bid bon voyage to our pal at bargain basement prices. Take care of him for us, will ya’?

One of the Best Cigar Deals Around

Thursday, April 12, 2012 by Pat The Cigar Guy

MIRAFLOR TORPEDO HABANOWhen you shop for smokes at the Thompson Cigars website, it's tough to pick out the best deal. I mean, you can find humidors for some of the lowest prices I have ever seen, cigar bundles at prices that will make you jump for the mouse, cigar auctions that give you a chance at buying smokes for super cheap prices, and the best prices for every type of smoke imaginable. So, like I said, it's pretty hard to pick out the best deal on the site. Nevertheless, I have found a serious contender.

While checking out the page for the Miraflor cigar brand, I noticed that the Miraflor Reserve cigars were being sold at a discount! Normally going for $125, a box of Miraflor Torpedo Habanos was being offered for $55! $131 Miraflor Churchill Habanos were just $59 and $119 Miraflor Robusto Habanos were $47! Now, being sold at less than half the original price is a deal on any day of the week but when you are talking about smokes that are crafted with carefully selected Dominican tobacco, binded with a Dominican Piloto Cubano binder, and wrapped with a tasty Habano wrapper, this is a major deal.

Save on excellent Miraflor smokes and the best in tobacco at Thompson today.

Swisher Sweets Perfectos are deliciously straight-forward cigars with the slightest hint of sweet undertones for a unique smoking experience. The Perfecto shape is considered a classic, with a wide middle that elegantly tapers off at the end and the head. Because this is a more difficult shape for rollers to achieve, it is in high demand. With a box of 60 Swisher Sweets Perfectos, you can enjoy a classic cigar without the lofty price tag.
