William from Akron, Ohio reviewed the CIGAR SAMPLER WITH HUMIDOR AND GIFT BOX
I have been smoking cigars for about 30 years and consider my an Aficionado and VERY VERY cheap. So I think for the price they was better then expected. The humidor, well what can I say you get what you pay for. The humidor is good for the starter.

surfmurf from philadelphia reviewed the NOAH EDGE LIGHTER
I got this in one of TCC Special combos and was very pleased with the lighter. While I used to prefer a match I was having a difficult time lighting a cigar properly. When I filled this lighter and started using it I was very surprised at how well it worked. My only complaint is the flame adjustment is weak to non existent in that I cannot see any big difference from low to high (if there is one) Otherwise I love this thing. It gives a quick even light in most outdoor conditions.
Bottomline: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Rating:
Pros: Great Value
Cons: Flame adjustment is weak

Old faithful lighter, strong butane torch flame, sturdy refillable alternative to cheap disposable lighters (color may vary).
Millerband from Corona, Ca reviewed the NOAH EDGE LIGHTER
Haven't had to refill it yet, so that will be the ultimate test.....but was easy to fill the first time and lights great every click. Kind of cool that the flame goes green as you light your cigar, too. If this product is as durable and dependable as it is being touted, then I will just have to give the second one as a gift. Came as 2-for-1 offer in catalog.

From the makers of Cuesta Rey comes an all-new budget smoke sure to satisfy the medium bodied cigar smoking masses. Packaged in Stay Fresh Humi-Bags, Hampton Arms by J.C. Newman employs a complex blend of Nicaraguan mixed fillers paired with a slightly spicy Nicaraguan binder and a golden-brown Ecuadoran wrapper. Hampton Arms is anything but bland as it delightfully develops in flavor and character throughout the entire smoking experience. Hampton Arms comes in two sizes – Churchill (7" x 48) or Toro (6" x 50) – and is available in fifteen count bundled packs. Enjoy Hampton Arms for less than $2 a stick!

We’re so used to puros manufactured in the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Nicaragua that it’s natural to look at a cigar manufactured in the Philippines with a little suspicion. But trust me friend, there are stranger places than the Philippines for a cigar factory (like New Jersey, for instance) and the production locale has nothing to do with the taste of your smoke! Flor de Filipinas is a premium, hand rolled, mild-medium bodied cigar made from the same top notch, imported Cuban-seed tobaccos that you love. Yes, Flor de Filipinas has an odd birthplace but at lower price per stick you can afford to be a little adventurous. You won’t be disappointed.
Blacksmith from Prescott AZ reviewed the DON LINO 1989 TORPEDO MADURO
When I first purchased these, I was a little skeptical. I usually stick to a milder stick but this one surprised me. It has a complex flavor but is not overpowering. It is very well made with a nice sharp press. The only thing I found that was distracting was its band. It is very narrow and difficult to remove. I recommend smoking them down first before attempting to remove it, just incase you inadvertently damage an otherwise very enjoyable cigar.

Cigars and items associated with a quality smoking experience aren't necessarily cheap. This only makes sense when you consider that many cigars are works of art meant to be experienced with careful, relaxed draws and are reserved for special occasions.

Nevertheless, there are times when we would rather pay less for certain items. One of those times happens to be the holidays. While we might buy a quality humidor or classy cigar lighter for a good aficionado friend or nephew, splurging on expensive gifts for a top sales team or employees isn't exactly a priority.
We still want to give them something nice, but just don't want to break the bank on doing so. The following are a few gift item ideas for such situations:
- Value priced cigar cutters: These make for great stocking stuffers and basic gifts without costing an arm and a leg. Just because they cost less doesn't mean that they aren't quality gift items either.
- Discount cigars: Buy 20 packs of Caudillo Churchills and give four cigars to each person as part of their holiday present.
- Stub cigar sampler: Buy a bunch of these and give four to each person to compliment the Caudillo Churchills.

While the rating of cigars does involve a fair degree of subjectivity, the people that do the judging are cigar experts that have known the ins and outs of cigar smoking for many years. That said, they probably know what they are taking about. If they give a cigar a high rating, they didn't do it for nothing. The tastes are probably going to complex and the experience

well worth the high price paid for such quality smokes. Nevertheless, there are times when we would rather pay a bit less for
cigars with high ratings.
Here are a few ideas for spending less to enjoy highly rated cigars:
- Cigar samplers: There are all sorts of samplers available but some definitely include high-rated cigars. In fact, a few samplers only include cigars with high ratings. Buy these and you get the chance to smoke such quality cigars for far less than buying each brand by the box.
- Cigar of the month club: Although you never know what you are going to get, the experts are only going to pick smokes that they have personally honored with a high rating.
- Look for overruns and discards: Some companies such as Rocky Patel offer cigars with blemishes at a lower price. Other than the difference in color, these are just as good as the smokes that passed quality and control.

Some people new to
cigar smoking think that any old lighter will work for cigars. It's easy to see why anyone new to the experience would come to this conclusion. After all, couldn't smoking a cigar be like smoking a cigarette? The experience is certainly different but when it comes to lighting up a cigar, why should it be that much different than lighting a cigarette?
The answer, of course, is that the two are actually very different in nature. The regular, cheap lighters are meant for quickly lighting small, fast-smoking cigarettes because they were designed for this purpose. It should come as no surprise then if they don't seem to work so well for cigars. Unlike cigarettes, cigars are meant to be smoked over a much longer period of time. They weren't developed to be quickly lit and immediately smoked. No, cigars casually smolder because they are bigger and more densely packed than cigarettes. Their size and structure requires a strong, steady, and controlled flame.
Such a flame is produced cigar lighters specifically developed for this purpose. Use any other type of lighter and you run the risk of diminishing the cigar smoking experience. For this reason, it's best to get a
quality cigar lighter from an
online cigar store because cigars are in a class of their own.
